Who We ArePlanned Parenthood of Cameron & Willacy Counties (PPCWC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality, affordable reproductive health care to the people of our community regardless of income, sexual orientation, marital status or age. Who do we serve?Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of subsidized family planning services in Cameron & Willacy Counties. The majority of our clients are women aged 20-34 who depend on our medical and professional counseling services to help prevent an unintended pregnancy. PPCWC provides well woman services to women who need pap smears, mammograms, diabetes screenings and other medical services. Since 1997, PPCWC has provided more extensive medical services for males, which include physical exams and STI screenings. Meeting your health care needs.Medical services are provided by nurse practioners and consulting physcians who specialize in reproductive health. All information received from the client and all services provided to a client are kept strictly confidential. PPCWC complies with Planned Parenthood Federation of America, OSHA, HIPPA and CLIA standards. Promesa SaludFor the past 12 years, PPCWC has sponsored the "Promesa Salud" program with funding from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Breast and Cervical Cancer Services and the Brown Foundation. The "Promesa Salud" program is designed to assist medically indigent women who do not have access to breast cancer screenings or diagnostic services. These women receive:
